Are we christians or are we saints?
That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.ECCLESIASTES 1:9
Are we a new thing or a renewed thing?
Does the Old foreshadowing the new brings a renewal?
Many are have made claims about church history and some renewal events. What do we mean? Could this be restoring the church. If He has to do this again, what have we done wrong? I believe the greatest revival would be the ultimate recognition of who we are at the marriage supper. Until then we are brides sleeping in, getting those few extra winks. However, does the early bird gets the worm, right? Keep those oil lamps full and trimmed. Hear His voice calling out.
There are renewed, re-vowed or restored covenants to original covenant saints.
Is it a new thing or renewed thing?
There is no New Brand of Covenant or a new vow to a pre-existing testament, there are no distinctions between old and new saints other than being a peculiar(special) people.
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18&19
Remember not the former things. What things? Former ways that got us in trouble in the first place. This is talking about Judah’s clean slate when they return home to Jerusalem from Babylon.
In Daniel 9:20 the Seventy weeks was the Lords process of renewing His covenant with Judah after their 80 years of time out.
There are instance of renewed or restored covenant’s to the saints or original covenant saints. In the above passages talks about the Lord renewing his covenant with Judah by returning to Jerusalem. Which they eventually broke again.
What about Israel?
How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man. Jeremiah 31:22
One reference is talking about Judah. This passage is a woman encompassing a man as a new thing to perceive. This was for the Nation of Israel. We got our Man! Again.
The testament of Jesus’s blood renewed or restored a covenant to a people and not to make a new one.
Were we grafted into something new to stand apart? Or were we grafted into something ancient to stand as apart of something that already existed.
I do not identify as something new but renewed in Testament to stand with the originals, a renewed Israel that has been joined together with the original Judah.
The I AM renewed his covenant with a people, to whom was not a people and now is a people. He has shown compassion to a people who didn’t deserve it.
Great is the day of Jezreel, a people renewed.
We, the Renewed Testament Saints are nothing new under the sun, just a rekindled old flame in the eye of Lord.😉 Jesus!
We all are saints, those whom our Lord has set apart to be His people.
Thought for the day:
Get the narrative with the whole story behind it, not just little snippets here and there to create a whole new narrative. Perceive the Word of God in this manner.
